  • Mr. Graves is a dedicated leader in both the church and the community. He is a proud graduate of Malakoff High School and furthered his education at TVCC, TJC, Texas College, Lamar University, and Liberty University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Texas College and his Master's in Biblical Exposition from Liberty University. Additionally, he completed the Professional Principal Preparation Program at Lamar University.

    Mr. Graves is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Liberty University, pursuing a Doctorate in Leadership. Before beginning his teaching career, he worked as a parole officer for the Department of Criminal Justice for many years. Driven by his passion for helping young people succeed academically and behaviorally, Mr. Graves started his teaching career at Legacy High School in Tyler I.S.D. as a criminal justice teacher, where he was later promoted to the administration team.

    He has served as an Assistant Principal at both Legacy High School and Three Lakes Middle School in Tyler. With 7 years of experience in education, Mr. Graves currently serves as the Alternative Education Coordinator for Chapel Hill ISD. In addition to his leadership role at Chapel Hill ISD, he is the pastor of God's Will Baptist Church in Tyler and a proud member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., where he currently serves as the local chaplain.

     Mission Statement -The Mission of Chapel Hill ISD DAEP program is to provide a safe, disciplined, and positive learning environment that will encourage our students to: 

    ● Renew their commitment to success

     ● Learn to make the appropriate choices

     ● Manage their own discipline responsibilities

     ● Develop positive attitudes, a sense of self-worth, and strengthen their academic and social skills. 

     

  • W.I.N.G.S

     

    Willing Individuals Navigating Growth and Success (WINGS)

     

    The CHISD W.I.N.G.S Academy is a drop-out prevention program that provides eliglible students an opportunity to succeed in a non-traditional school setting. Students who are enrolled in the WINGS Academy have the opportunity to participate in a self-paced program as they work toward their high school diploma and the flexibility of choosing an A.M. or P.M. session to attend. To support student success post-graduation, the programs will assists students in their transition to college, career and the military.
